Iman Jones

“When I would share my excitement with friends and strangers, they would, without fail, respond with a dreamy look and a reminiscent story about how they wanted to garden at some point, but gave up because they struggled to find their green thumb.” -Iman

Founded in 2020, during quarantine, Victory Gardens was Iman’s solution to this problem. Offering people access to garden fresh veggies and the fulfillment of saying, “I grew that myself,” without the disappointment of going it alone. Since then, more than 400 gardens have been planted for city dwellers across the DFW metroplex under her guidance.

To expand her impact beyond what she could reach with physical labor, Iman has shifted her focus to a more widespread presence as a liaison between people and nature; facilitating understanding, communicating nature’s needs, and promoting harmony between all of nature’s residents. By creating endearing memories through educational and entertainment experiences, Iman’s mission is to foster a sense of belonging, attachment and responsibility to the land in city-dwellers who have lost contact with it. 

Being a lifelong nature enthusiast has led Iman through a BS in Biology, 7+ years in STEM education, a Master Gardener Certification and experience in Waste Management Research & Development.

Liberating people to imagine, desire and work toward a future where urban spaces are alive with greenery, biodiversity, and sustainable food systems is the work of The Land Liaison.
